Marshmallow Popcorn balls: Celebrate Spring!

The perfect way to celebrate the first day of SPRING this Wednesday.

Our friends babysat for us this past weekend.
(the first time we left Rosie with anyone but my parents. Ahhh! Another story for another post)
I wanted to make them  a "Happy Spring Break" treat to say thank you.
I had some fun wrapping the popcorn balls in spring style!

Tie a fresh flower to the popcorn ball for a simple but beautiful package.
+ your recipient will have a cheery little flower to keep them smiling for a few days.
Washi tape to tie the package                                Fabric scrap & a sweet bird clothespin.
& a strip on the bottom to add more fun!           Any package is cute when you 'put a bird on it' ha!

Add jelly beans or chocolate candies for a tasty and delightful, color-filled spring treat!

Yummiest Popcorn

4 qts. Popped popcorn
1 1/3 c.  Sugar
1 ts. Vanilla
1 c. Butter
½ c. Light Karo syrup
1 pkg. Mini marshmallows

Mix popcorn and marshmallows in large bowl.
Melt butter and add sugar & karo syrup. Bring to a boil, stir constantly.
Simmer or 2-3 minutes. Add vanilla and blend. Pour over popcorn marshmallow mix, and mix together to melt marshmallows.

Yes, this really really is the YUMMIEST popcorn.
My Mama used to make it and all of my friends requested it for any celebration.
I made myself sick this morning, Popcorn ball bowl full, wasn't such a good idea for breakfast :)

  2. How much popcorn is that? Is it 1/2 cup or 1 cup of un-popped kernals?
