Well, on Sunday night I said five words I never thought would come out of my mouth. As John and I sat on the couch finishing bowls of ice cream, remote in his hand. "Wait!
Go back to Sports Center", I said. (
Did I just say that? I thought to myself........) "What?" John looked at me completely confused, "Did you just ask me to change the channel back to Sports Center?" "Yes, yes I did." I replied. I saw the beginning of this amazing video and I just couldn't get it off my mind. We both watched this video with tears in our eyes. Big babies: us two! Sitting on the couch with empty bowls of ice cream, tears streaming down our faces, it was a sight.
What a wonderful reminder this video was.
Not only reminding me of my
gratitude for all those serving our country,
but inspiring me to be a
better American: a better person. It made me think of this quote I love,
"This country will not be a good place for any of us to live in
unless we make it a good place for all of us to live in."
- Theodore Roosevelt
I hope this video inspires you, as it did me.
Well...I just bawled. This is very near and dear to my heart. Aren't those reunions just amazing. I remember when my brother met his daughter for the first time...it was very similar to those reunions. Thank you for sharing!
