Pie recipes

Last week our sweet new friends in Florida invited us to their "Thanksgiving Practice"
We practiced alright! First time pie makers.
Banana Cream Pie

3 c. whole milk,
1/2 c. cornstarch
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3 egg yolks,
1 c. unsweetened whipping cream
1 c. sweetened whipping cream
1 tsp. vanilla,
4 large, ripe bananas-sliced,
whipping cream as a garnish on top.

Combine sugar, cornstarch, salt, and milk in mixer. Mix until smooth. Microwave on medium for 8 minutes. Stir with wire whip 3 to 5 minutes. Repeat until thick. Beat egg yolks. Slowly add to mixture and microwave 3 minutes. Stir and seal it. Refrigerate until cold. Fold in both cups of whipping cream and beat. Add vanilla. Place bananas in ready-made baked 10 inch pie shell until heaping and pour mixture over until completely covered. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Serve with whipped cream.
