We were so happy to wake up to a sunny morning this Easter. I was remembering last Easter when it snowed.. yuck. We walked over to Central Park and enjoyed the sunny day before church. My first Easter away from Utah. This felt so different and I smiled remembering all of the fun Easter mornings in St. George. The smell of sawdust and potato sacks, as we raced across the dewy lawn with an egg balancing on a spoon. The egg hunts, the sunshine, the family.
Even though we celebrated Easter far away from family and friends this year, we celebrate for the same reason: Christ. What a wonderful day Easter is. I am so grateful for him and for the greatest week in history.
